Buying through Winnipeg AutoMatch

How does Winnipeg AutoMatch work?

You pick a vehicle, message us on Messenger or email and we agree on a time for your visit. The dealer welcomes you, handles the test drive and the sale.

Is it free?

Yes. The service costs buyers nothing and you do not need an account.

Why message you instead of the dealer?

You get answers in writing from one person, including the history report, safety status and price with taxes. When we do not know something, we check with the dealer first. Before you head out, we confirm the vehicle is still there and that the dealer knows you are coming. We do not negotiate or push, and if the vehicle is not right for you we can show you other options from dealers rated 4.5+ on Google.

How do I book a test drive?

Open the vehicle’s page, choose Book a visit and send the message on the app you prefer, with a day and time that suit you. We confirm with the dealer and reply with the details. There is no online calendar: every visit is confirmed by message.

How fast do you reply?

We usually reply the same day. Messaging apps and text messages are usually the fastest way to reach us.

Can I see several vehicles on the same visit?

Yes. Save the vehicles you like and mention them in your message. Our dealers are all on Wilkes Avenue, so you can see several in one afternoon.

Dealers and vehicles

Which dealers do you list?

Only independent dealers with a physical lot in the Winnipeg area and a public Google rating of 4.5+. We re-check ratings regularly and remove any dealer that drops below. How we choose dealers.

Are the listings up to date?

Listings come from each dealer’s own inventory system and sold vehicles come off the site. Ask us to confirm availability before you go.

What is a CARFAX report?

A vehicle history report that shows reported accidents, registrations and service records. Many listings include a free CARFAX link; for the rest, ask and we will request it from the dealer.

What does “Safetied” mean?

The vehicle passed a Manitoba Safety inspection at a certified inspection station. Ask the dealer to see the certificate at your visit.

Price, taxes and financing

Do the prices include taxes?

No. Prices are set by each dealer and shown before taxes and licensing. A dealer sale in Manitoba usually adds 5% GST and 7% PST, so a $15,000 vehicle comes to about $16,800 before licensing, registration and any dealer fees. Each vehicle page shows its own estimate.

Do you negotiate prices?

No. Prices are set by the dealer. You can talk about the price directly with the dealer at your visit.

Can I get financing?

Financing is provided by the dealer and its lending partners, not by us. Get pre-qualified in about 2 minutes, with no credit check, and we pass your request to the dealer’s finance team before you arrive. You can also estimate your payment. The payments on the site are estimates only, not financing offers.

Can I trade in my vehicle?

Trade-ins are handled by the dealer. Tell us what you drive and we will pass it on so the dealer can be ready for your visit.

What should I bring to a test drive?

Your valid driver’s licence. If you might buy the same day, ask us what the dealer needs for payment, insurance and registration.

Privacy

What do you do with my details?
